Amanda Brown was an American novelist who wrote the novel Legally Blonde, which was the basis for the 2001 film and 2007 musical of the same name and also known as Sam Newman’s wife.
Amanda Brown was born on October 6, 1970. Her parents are Jack E. Brown, a lawyer, and Suzanne J. Brown, an art gallery owner. Brown graduated from Arizona State University in 1993. He then proceeded to study at Stanford Law School (he never received a JD degree), where he compiled funny letters and stories based on his experiences into a first manuscript that would become the Legally Blonde novel.
Since the success of the 2001 film, Brown has released her second book, Family Trust, which has also been cast in a film. She currently lives with her husband Justin Chang and daughters in San Francisco. The Brown School of Fortune novel is being selected for a film starring Ashley Tisdale, Julie Andrews and Justin Long.

Newman and his 20-year-old partner, Amanda Brown, were married inside his luxurious Docklands apartment, with only close friends and family in attendance. The ceremony was officiated by Perfect Match host Greg Evans, according to the Herald Sun. For Newman, 74, it marks his fourth time in the hallway. The ceremony took place just days after Brown celebrated her 50th birthday.

According to The Herald-Sun revealed that the Geelong legend and former The Footy Show host found Amand Brown lying on the floor of his Docklands apartment on Saturday night. An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said he was called to emergency services on reports of cardiac arrest at approximately 7.40 pm, but that Brown could not be revived.
“I’m devastated, I can’t say any more,” Newman, 75, told the Herald Sun. Victoria police confirmed that the death was not being treated as suspicious.
“Police will prepare a report for the coroner following the death of a 50-year-old woman in Docklands on Saturday,” a police spokesman said in a statement to news.com.au. “The matter is not being treated as suspicious.”
Newman’s former Footy Show colleague Eddie McGuire told Fox Footy on Sunday that Newman had found Brown after he returned home from drinks with friends.
His death comes as Geelong mourns former club president Frank Costa, 83, who died in his sleep Sunday morning after a long battle with the disease. “It has been a heartbreaking day, particularly for Geelong Football Club, but for the entire football community as a whole,” said McGuire.
“(Newman) came home yesterday from hanging out with a couple of friends and found his wonderful wife Amanda dead on the floor of his apartment. Sam, we know you know we’re thinking of you, buddy.
“I spoke to him last night and (he is) clearly devastated by the whole situation.”
AFL and You Cannot Be Serious podcast co-host Don Scott told the Herald Sun: “They have been together for 19 years and he was quite dependent on her. “He had a lot of feelings for her. What are you saying? All you can do is be there. ”
Veteran football reporter Mike Sheahan said he was “really sad” for Newman. “He was happy and that’s not always something you associated with Sam. It’s terrible to find her missing at 50. Sometimes it’s hard to understand those things.” Sheahan said.
