Andrew Wrigley, 50, of Jim Thorpe, is charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any building or restricted land without legal authorization; Violent entry and disorderly conduct on the Capitol grounds in connection with the insurrection in Washington D.C.

In a post, Wrigley wrote: “At the DC protest at the capitol building #stopthesteal,” along with videos and photos of the Capitol on January 6, according to a complaint from the United States Capitol Police.

In another status update, Wrigley wrote: “At the protest in DC. I went into the capitol building and they threw tear gas at me. ”

Wrigley also allegedly posted a photo of himself wearing a hat and scarf across his face while he was inside the Capitol building. Wrigley deleted his Facebook account on Jan.8, two days after the attack, according to the complaint.

Arrested – Charge

Wrigley was arrested after authorities learned of social media posts from a Facebook account that belonged to the suspect.

Wrigley was arrested by the U.S. Marshalls on January 15, after authorities were able to trace his movements through his other social media accounts. It is unclear where the 50-year-old was detained.

He has contacted the US Marshals office for further comment. The FBI has identified more than 270 suspects involved in criminal activity in and around the Capitol on January 6.

The agency is examining about 140,000 photos and videos of the scene of the attack provided by members of the public.

“For those of you who participated in the violence, here’s something you should know: Every FBI field office in the country is looking for you,” said Deputy Director in Charge of the FBI Washington Field Office, Steven M D’Antuono, in a statement Friday.

“In fact, even his friends and family are letting us know. So you might want to consider turning yourself in rather than wondering when we’re going to knock on your door because we will. ”

On Sunday, FBI Special Agent in Charge in Philadelphia, Michael Driscoll, added that authorities continue to identify people who participated in the Capitol siege.

“The Philadelphia FBI is working closely with all of our local, state, and federal partners to prepare for Inauguration Day,” said Driscoll.

“We hold an elevated posture to monitor any emerging threats here in the lead up to January 20.

“As part of that, the FBI has erected a command post to gather intelligence and coordinate with our partners on any potential risks to the city and the region, including the state capitol in Harrisburg.”
