Casey Garcia Wiki – Casey Garcia Biography
Casey Garcia of San Elizario has been arrested and charged with breaking and entering and tampering with government records, KWTX reported. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office was first alerted on June 1 to several social media posts circulating online documenting the incident.
The incident occurred at Garcia-Enriquez High School in San Elizario, located 20 miles southeast of El Paso, KTSM confirmed.
She was later detained at her home. In a video posted on YouTube titled “Going to School Like My 13-Year-Old Daughter (High School Edition),” Garcia is seen in a yellow hoodie, glasses, and a black mask walking into school.
“Do I look like a seventh-grader? No? Cool, amazing!” she says.
Garcia said she put on fake suntan lotion and dyed her hair to better look like her teenage daughter, “Julie.” When she entered the school, she wrote down her daughter’s identification number that she had memorized. She can be heard saying good morning to whoever she says that she was the director.
Casey Garcia Age
Casey Garcia is 30 years old.
Garcia said she spoke with another faculty member and later attended all of her daughter’s classes. Although some students eventually acknowledge her, she thanks them at the end of the video for keeping it a secret from her.
Garcia is seen eating in the school cafeteria during lunch with the mask partially removed. Later, she also shows math homework to the camera, when someone addresses her by the name of her daughter.
“We need more security in our schools. This is what I tried to demonstrate,” Garcia said in a follow-up video. “I didn’t do this to get views. I didn’t do this to get likes. I didn’t do this to make people mad at me and I could never walk through El Paso again.”
“The teachers were so concerned about the students who were online that they weren’t paying attention to the students who were there physically,” Garcia said. “I think the deciding factor for me was coming in and posing as a seventh-grader. I mean, I’m not a spring hen, but it wasn’t difficult.”
Garcia said she made it through seven periods until the last teacher asked her to stay after school and confronted her.
“I was ‘hey, put your phone away.’ It wasn’t a name, it wasn’t a person, I was ‘hey, put your phone away,'” Garcia said. “It was for a social experiment. I wanted to see if I could do it all day without anyone noticing. I’d say up to the seventh period is a very long day for a 30-year-old.”
“There have been too many mass shootings in schools,” he continued in the video after his arrest. “It’s disgusting to think that everything could have been prevented just by putting in metal detectors and more security … Are you more concerned that I, a parent, was sitting next to your child, or do we really want to wait for the next person? Amendment to the extreme?
Garcia was initially booked into the El Paso County Detention Center on both charges and an unrelated traffic warrant, KWTX reported. His bonuses totaled $ 7,908. He also documented his interactions with officers when they first arrived at his home.
“While there was a security breach by an individual associated as a parent with the school,” San Elizario Independent School District Superintendent Dr. Jeannie Mesa-Chavez said in a statement to KTSM, “We want to assure you that our security measures are being reviewed and evaluated “.
