Charlie Roberts Wiki – Charlie Roberts Biography

Charlie Roberts, Jr. was reported missing after his family tracked his cell phone to the Green Swamp Wildlife Management Area, a nature preserve in Central Florida.

Sumter County officials began searching for Roberts in the swampy and heavily forested area that encompasses 50,000 acres in three counties. They used helicopters, ATVs and drones until Wednesday night when they found his body.

A suspect was arrested in the death of an 18-year-old Florida teenager whose body was found in a swamp.

On Thursday, David Anthony Gracia, of Lakeland, was arrested on first-degree murder charges in the death of Roberts. The relationship between Roberts and his alleged murderer is unknown. Police have not released the motive.

Grace is being held at the Sumter County Detention Center without bond.

Cause of Death

While an official cause of death has not been determined, authorities believe Roberts was shot and killed.

As authorities continue to investigate Roberts’ death, the teen’s family demands justice.

“I want the person to be prosecuted to the fullest, of course. This was a family member, a child, no one deserves death,” the teenager’s cousin William Gamble told Fox13.

Gamble also hopes for some answers about the murder of his loved one.

“What would make you want to kill a child? What did he do so wrong that he deserved death … and to be left where they left him?” he said, reports the station.
