## Clinton Robert Hurley Wiki – Clinton Robert Hurley Biography

**Clinton Robert Hurley**, a 30-year-old suspect who is charged in an attack that left a Maricopa County sheriff’s deputy on life support, is now in custody and in critical condition at an Arizona hospital, police said.

Police spent several hours Saturday searching for the suspect, Clinton Robert Hurley after they said he attacked the officer prosecuting him on felony warrants that morning. Hurley later escaped, police said.

## Accused of injuring Arizona sheriff’s deputy

A colleague had found the officer unconscious and bleeding from the face, according to Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone. Penzone did not say exactly how the injuries happened.

Hurley took off in the officer’s vehicle, crashing into the door of the Avondale sheriff’s office facility, according to police.

Police say the suspect later stole a different vehicle than another driver, investigators told CNN affiliate KTVK.

Around 6:30 p.m., police received a call about a shooting incident in the Tonopah area involving the fugitive suspect and a homeowner, Penzone said.

The sheriff said the suspect and the owner had a history of conflict.

Deputies and tactical units in the area located the injured suspect and transferred him to the hospital.

“It is with a sense of relief that I express to you that I am glad to hear that he is off our streets,” Penzone said.

According to the bailiff, the deputy’s status has not changed and he remains on life support.

Hurley has not yet been charged for the alleged incidents on Saturday.

On Sunday it was unclear if he had a lawyer.

Arizona Department of Corrections records shows Hurley was released from prison last December after serving six years following his conviction on the charge of attempting to se**xually abuse a child.
