Jashyah Moore Wiki – Jashyah Moore Biography
Jashyah Moore, the 14-year-old girl from New Jersey who was the subject of a month-long search involving the FBI and local and state police, ran away from her home, authorities said Friday.
She spent the past month in locations in New Jersey and New York City and was recently staying in a shelter in Brooklyn, according to Theodore N. Stephens II, acting attorney for Essex County, NJ.

Missing – Found Safe
“The young woman appears to have escaped,” he said during a news conference Friday morning. “And she didn’t want to let anyone know where she was. She seemed to be … more comfortable where she was.”
Stephens added that Jashyah “finally ran into uptown police, I think Harlem.”
She said the case of the teenager’s disappearance was still under investigation. While no charges have been brought against anyone, that could change, according to Stephens.
Prosecutors from her office planned to meet with Jashyah’s mother later Friday to determine whether the girl will be released into her custody.
East Orange Police Chief Phyllis Bindi said during a news conference Friday that her department and her community were delighted that Jashyah was found safe.
“This is a perfect example of the potential for positive results when we come together and work as a whole community,” said Bindi.
Authorities announced on Thursday that Jashyah was safe, but did not provide further details.
She was last seen at a deli on October 14 in East Orange, and East Orange police, New Jersey State Police, and the FBI have been among the agencies involved in the search for her.
People in the community also carried out searches and her mother asked for any information to find the teenager.
She was offered a reward of up to $ 20,000 in the search.
Stephens said Wednesday that more than 50 law enforcement officials were in East Orange and Orange retracing the teenager’s known footsteps and following leads in the search.
East Orange is a city of nearly 70,000 people in the New York City region, about 10 miles west of Manhattan.
“The family and our community are grateful that she is alive and well,” a family spokesperson said in a statement. “We are grateful to everyone who went out of their way to help find it.”
