Jeanetta Lynette Blow, a Florida mother has been charged with the death of her two-year-old son.

Jeanetta Lynette of Titusville, has been charged with aggravated murder of a child and tampering with or fabricating evidence.

Titusville Police were called to Parish Medical Center in June 2020 for a suspicious death.

Charges – Arrested

According to an affidavit, Blow had taken his little one to the emergency room, where staff noted that he was unresponsive, not breathing, and had no pulse. Medical personnel was unable to save the boy’s life. Staff also noted that the boy’s body temperature was 92 degrees upon arrival.

Blow told detectives that he woke up to find the boy unresponsive and took him to the hospital. She said that the day before, she took the boy to the park, where he “scooped up dirt, licked it up and said ‘ew’ before she took it off his hands.”

The woman claimed that she and her children lived with her mother, but police found little or no personal belongings of the family in this alleged residence.

Blow later admitted to detectives that she lives at Park Vista Apartments with her boyfriend.

Detectives executed a search warrant and found many of Blow’s personal belongings and hers of her children. A search of a garbage container near the apartment uncovered garbage bags containing vomit, dirty paper towels, a stained sheet, plastic gloves, and various foods mentioned by Blow.

Once inside the apartment, officers found garbage bags identical to those found in the garbage container. Officers found a dirty towel in the toilet tank. A bag was found in the children’s room that appeared to be stained with vomit.

According to an affidavit, officers found a purple velvet bag containing small plastic bags normally used to pack heroin, as well as transparent gloves commonly used when handling heroin, due to possible exposure to fentanyl. Officers found $ 5,000 in cash.

Officers said the police knew that the defendant’s boyfriend was a drug dealer.

DNA testing of the items found in the dumpster linked them to Blow’s boyfriend, police said.

An autopsy found that the cause of death for the 2-year-old boy was fentanyl toxicity, which ultimately led to charges being brought against her mother.

Blow was able to get out of jail. Bail for her was set at $ 110,000.
