Droscha was on the board for several years, he revealed the group in a Facebook post where they described him as a “great asset to our board, but more importantly, a great friend.” In fact, he cared so much about his community that he also offered to cut hay near the airport and organized various events.

He also worked in real estate with the local firm RE/MAX and as a farmer. The Lansing State Journal reported that Droscha also ran his own organic farm called Hillcrest Organics. Aside from that, he was also incredibly active in Calvary Baptist Church and also served as a deacon while his wife sat on a ministerial committee. “He was very kind, caring and a good guy,” the senior pastor said of Droscha.

Reportedly, Droscha also loved his hobby of being a balloonist and flew at various festivals in Michigan. “Family gatherings were so much fun because we got to ride a balloon with Jeremy,” his cousin Adam said of him.

## Cause of Death

A heroic father rushed into a burning house to save his daughter in Charlotte, Michigan, but tragically succumbed to his injuries on March 4, 2022. Jeremy Droscha, a 43-year-old father of three, passed away after burning in a house fire on March 4, 2022.

March 1. Droscha’s wife and two other children were not home when the house caught fire, and the four-year-old boy he saved suffered only minor injuries thanks to his father’s heroic actions.

Reports say that Droscha was kicked out of his house due to the explosion, which left the property completely destroyed. By the time the Charlotte Fire Department responded, the house was already trashed. At the time of reporting, police reported that a propane tank is to blame for the explosion.

Droscha was immediately transported to nearby Sparrow Hospital in Lansing and was later airlifted to Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids due to the severity of his injuries.

Tragically, the father was unable to do so, after suffering second-and third-degree burns to more than 50 percent of his body. He is now being mourned by both his family and the community in Eaton Township, where he was home.
