Court documents suggest that the suspect’s political views and “extremist religious beliefs” may have played a role in his alleged spate of shootings.
The affidavit states how an email written by the suspect describes why he chose the house in Memorial Park.
As reported by KFOX14 / CBS4, the affidavit states that there were visible indications that the occupants supported President Joe Biden and were waving a “Biden flag and [had] a hanging [Donald] Trump doll.”
Alvarez is also said to have believed that the area where the victims lived in Memorial Park, Texas, was a center of satanic activities. Court documents indicate that the suspect viewed Memorial Park as a “ritualistic satanic ground for performing abortions by means of magic.”
According to the affidavit, Alvarez said he was “executing and exterminating pro-abortion Jewish Satan worshipers” when he allegedly decided to target the Kaufmann property for the shooting.
In the email sent the night of the murder in reference to the satanic rituals in the park, Álvarez would also have announced his intention to kill the people who lived in the houses near the park.
In the message, he demanded that people “stop all murder of babies, while also making reference to former President Trump and President Biden.”
