## Michael Barajas Wiki – Michael Barajas Biography

**Michael Barajas**, A 36-year-old man with sharp teeth from Michigan has been detained after police discovered he had kidnapped a vulnerable woman, sexually assaulted her for three weeks, and threatened to “tear her throat out” if she didn’t do as he said. Genesee County Sheriff Chris Swanson revealed disturbing details of the case Wednesday at a news conference that led to the Dec. 8 arrest of 36-year-old Michael Barajas. He ripped out her throat during her three-week jail sentence.

Swanson said a pregnant woman in her early 20s was evicted from her home this Thanksgiving week. Barajas saw the vulnerable woman walking alone in the street and stopped her car. He offered her a hot shower, a snack, and a place to stay. The victim agreed, unaware that she would be raped and trafficked repeatedly over the next three weeks.

## Incident detail

Once the couple arrived at a dilapidated house, Barajas reportedly locked her in a room and tied her to a bed. Genesee officials said they found a rope at the scene. The victims’ room had an exterior lock and all the windows in the house were locked.

Barajas repeatedly sexually assaulted the pregnant woman and allowed others to approach her to sexually assault and traffick her, police said. “This man took the opportunity to not only sexually assault, but to have people come from her and smuggle her in while forcibly tying her to the bed while assaulting her,” Swanson said.

Swanson said the woman tried to escape the locked room three times. . She first ran out of an open door during an exchange, but Barajas and the other suspects chased her, shot her, and dragged her back to the bedroom. A second escape attempt also led to her recapture.

On December 8, the victim received a medical emergency related to her pregnancy and was treated by nurses who acknowledged that the woman was in urgent need of help. Swanson said that throughout the entire time, she was held in her home, Barajas threatened to bite her with his sharp fangs.

Barajas threatened her that if she didn’t do everything he told her she would bite his neck and rip her throat out,” Swanson said. The sheriff held up a photo of Barajas, then showed her teeth, which appear to be filed into sharp points. Swanson said Barajas groomed the woman by satisfying her need for refuge and even forced her to write a letter describing Barajas as “her father of hers.”

“This man is a monster. When you look at the filed teeth and the threats to rip your throat out, I won’t say more,” he said. After nurses alerted authorities to the woman’s distress, police raided the house and arrested Barajas on multiple charges, including human trafficking, kidnapping, assault, possession of methamphetamine and ecstasy, and other charges.
