## Stephen Capaldi Wiki – Stephen Capaldi Biography

**Stephen Capaldi**, 57, is charged with third-degree murder, possession of a criminal instrument, tampering with or falsifying physical evidence, and obstruction of justice or other government functions and misuse of a corpse, according to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. In a statement of probability obtained by Law&Crime, the Perkasie County Police Department says the case first appeared on its radar in early October this year after Emma Capaldi reported that her mother, Elizabeth Capaldi, age 55, was missing. Her daughter told police that her mother had no mental or psychological problems.

The deceased woman, the PBPD wrote, was last seen alive by her husband on the morning of October 10, 2022, two days before the missing person’s report was filed. However, a grand jury report says that Stephen Capaldi initially told his daughter that Elizabeth Capaldi had been “missing for a few days” prior to that date. “Her wallet, some clothes, personal items, and cash is the only thing missing from the house,” the affidavit reads. “Elizabeth’s cell phone, iPad, and vehicle were left in the residence.”

## Incident detail

The next day, Stephen Capaldi reportedly “noticed” another “$13,000.00 cash” and other items from his home. “On hearing this news, Emma Capaldi immediately left work and traveled to her parent’s home in search of clues,” the jury report said. “Emma Capaldi told her dad she was going to call the police and her response was, ‘Do what you think you have to do.'”

On December 8, 2022, Stephen Capaldi is reported to have confessed to his wife’s murder during an interview with detectives at the District Attorney’s office. The man allegedly said that he suffocated her victim to her death on October 10, 2022, by strangling her while she slept in her bed and that he also used a pillow. ”

After Elizabeth’s murder, Stephen moved her body from her master bedroom to a back room and then to her basement,” the affidavit said. “Stephen dismembered Elizabeth Capaldi’s body and disposed of it [it] on October 12, 2022, for a meeting with the police. Capaldi admitted that he bought supplies to dispose of Elizabeth’s body.”

Stephen Capaldi also had some excuses and alternate stories for that alleged confession, according to the grand jury report. He first claimed that his wife, to whom he had been married for 30 years, had left “of her own free will” and that he had “no idea where she might be, but suspected it would probably be a beach or a warm place”. The defendant allegedly went on to say that his wife was “unhappy in her marriage” and that he probably left to “prove a point”.

The husband’s alleged false story went further: Members of the Grand Jury did not believe the defendant’s claims about his wife’s alleged affair, the report said. According to investigators, house searches turned up no evidence of such an affair, travel plans, or even marital discord, at least on behalf of the victim.

Investigators previously allege that Stephen Capaldi had an affair with a woman in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, even traveling to his residence the day his wife disappeared. A possible search of the defendant’s phone would have confirmed a six-month relationship. an “emotional and sexual affair” with the other woman.

The grand jury report also details a litany of incriminating Internet searches, including: “how to get away with murder”; “how to delete Facebook messages”; “Can you avoid detection by the police by turning off your phone?”; “how to control your dark impulses”; “how to disappear and never be found”; and “FBI Crime Scene Forensics Manual.”

Those internet searches reportedly became more revealing and gruesome in the days following Elizabeth Capaldi’s death and included: “Quikrete cement”; “Reciprocating Saw” and “DIY Blacklight”. The report continues with an increasing amount of evidence brought against the defendant during the grand jury.

Among those pieces of evidence was a collection of stories about Stephen Capaldi’s massive credit card debt, his buying, and selling of comic books worth thousands of dollars, the presence (or lack thereof) of the $13,000 he said had been stolen from the basement, and even an alleged motive related to everything immediately preceding: “the fact that he found someone (his lover) whom he loved who supported his dream of opening a comic book store with his brother while his wife is not.
