“A student and an unreported new member of the Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity Beta Delta Chapter at Bowling Green State University (BGSU) in Bowling Green, Ohio, was involved in an alleged alcohol-related hazing incident in an off-campus event, ”reads a statement from the fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha.

“The International Fraternity is horrified and outraged by this incident. The Fraternity has a zero-tolerance policy towards illegal activities, substance abuse, harassment and hazing of any kind. Let us reiterate in the strongest terms: We refuse to defend or tolerate any behavior that creates dangerous environments or situations for our members or the wider university community in any of our more than 200 chapters in the United States and abroad. ”

The statement continues: “We immediately put this chapter on administrative suspension and advise its leaders to cooperate fully with the University administration and the local police. As more details are confirmed, we will also pursue the permanent suspension of Delta’s Beta Chapter, as well as the expulsion of all Chapter members from the International Community. ”
