Collin Reeves Wiki – Collin Reeves Biography

Collin Reeves is accused of murdering his neighbors Stephen Chapple, 36, a teacher, and Jennifer Chapple, 33, who worked in a coffee shop.

Despite desperate attempts by paramedics, the Chapples died from their injuries at their home in Dragon Rise, Norton Fitzwarren, near Taunton.

When police arrived, they found the couple’s children, ages five and six, still asleep. The officers led them away, not allowing them to see the bodies of their parents.

Charged – Arrested

A former soldier has been charged with the murder of a husband and wife who died at their home in a Somerset village while their children slept upstairs.

An Avon and Somerset police spokesman said: “We have charged a 34-year-old man in the murders of Jennifer and Stephen Chapple in Norton Fitzwarren on Sunday.

“Collin Reeves of Dragon Rise, Norton Fitzwarren, remains in police custody and is due to appear in Taunton Magistrates Court [Nov. 25].

Jennifer and Stephen were formally identified today. Post-mortem examinations concluded that both were killed by multiple stab wounds. ”

Reeves was a command engineer, a role that supports the Royal Marines. A 67-year-old man who was also detained as part of the investigation has been released and remains under investigation.

DI Neil Meade, Police Chief Crime Investigation Team, said: “Specialist officers provide support to Jennifer and Stephen’s families and our thoughts remain with them tonight.

“We have kept you fully updated on the progress of our research and are aware of this latest development.

“It is certainly an extremely difficult time for them and I ask that their privacy be respected as they continue to accept what happened.”

He added: “I would like to remind both the media and the public that the criminal proceedings are now active and Collin Reeves has the right to a fair trial.

“It is extremely important that no reports, comments or information are shared online that could in any way impair these procedures.”

Avon and Somerset Police have referred to the Independent Office of Police Conduct watchdog because of prior contacts with some of those involved.

The tributes went to the Chapples, who were popular members of the community.

Rob Brooks, manager of the Otter Garden Center in Taunton, said: “Jenny joined us earlier this year and worked in our cafeteria. She was a respected member of the team and all of her colleagues loved her very much. ”

Gregg Mockridge, Principal of West Somerset College, said: “Steve was a fantastic colleague, a brilliant teacher who cared deeply about the students in his charge.

He “He led innovations in the use of technology throughout the school, as well as within his own teaching. Steve will be sadly missed by all staff and students and our thoughts and prayers are with his children and his family at this time. ”
