Julie’s husband, Michael Harding, was reported missing in September 2022 but was later found dead in an abandoned house in Cumberland County, Kentucky from numerous gunshot wounds. Sheriff Brandon Boone stated that Michael, who lived and worked in Clay County, Tennessee, went missing and was found dead in an empty house, CBS reported. He was not known to have a relationship with that house.
Kentucky State Police are investigating Michael Harding’s death as a possible homicide. Boone said a suspect in his murder has been arrested in California. Just days before Harding’s body was discovered, officers arrested Thomas Francis O’Donnell at Sacramento International Airport on murder charges related to Michael’s death.
O’Donnell remains in custody at Sacramento County Main Jail and has waived his right to an extradition hearing to Kentucky, according to KCRA 3. In 2006, 60-year-old O’Donnell was arrested for stalking and threats of murder. to an ex-girlfriend in the Houston area. The victim claimed he threatened to kill her after she broke up in 2005.
O’Donnell was charged with pushing, choking, and forcing the woman to have sex with him, as well as harassing her at work and chasing her with her car over the course of about a year, according to court documents. . Although O’Donnell was charged, he was later released on parole.
Authorities have not released a possible motive linking O’Donnell to Michael’s death.
