Kim Chapman (aka Christopher Chapman) is a New Zealand entertainer, essayist, and chef. He has been instrumental in a number of popular tasks such as Top of the Lake, The Making of the Mob, The Lord of the Rings, and many more. He is the creator of The Auckland Theater Awards.
Kip Chapman experienced passionate feelings for theater at the age of seven. He played in more than twenty theater creations and had a unique warmth for theater sports.
He started his acting career in 2003 with a short film called Cut Out and then appeared on the TV show Interrogation in 2005.

He first received recognition after his performance at The Hothouse, coordinated by Danny Mulheron. From then on he could be found in The Cult as Andy, The Making of the Mob as Hymie Weiss, and Top of the Lake as Luke Mitchim. Recently, he had the opportunity to make a part of the series The Lord of the Rings.
Kip Chapman spent his childhood in Christchurch, South Island.
His first job as an expert was when he was 12 years old on The Red Balloon at The Court Theatre. Other work at the performance center includes The Goat, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Equus, Lobby Hero, Big River, The Caretaker, Flagons and Foxtrots, Romeo and Juliet, Black Confetti, and The Glass Menagerie.
Kip made and composed the theater show Arohaotearoa with James Milne. The show debuted in 2004 at SILO.
In 2019, he took on the role of Will in the Westside series, which aired on Three.
He coordinated That Bloody Woman for The Court Theatre.
In 2017, he held the position of Creative Director at The World of Wearable Arts, New Zealand’s biggest show and undeniably popular planning competition.
He was awarded the Chapman Tripp theater grants for Big River: The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and The Little Dog Laughed.
He was named Best Actor for Qantas Television Awards in 2007.
Besides acting, he also prefers to compose.
