Police said a 12-year-old boy was arrested on a murder warrant in connection with the murder of a Sonic Drive-In employee in Texas. Matthew Davis, 32, was shot and killed Saturday night while fighting in the park with 20-year-old Angel Gomez. The majority of the restaurant in Keene, about 40 miles (64 kilometers) southwest of Dallas, was disclosed, police said. Police Chief James Kidd told the Dallas Morning News on Tuesday that the boy used an AR-style rifle to shoot.
Police said both Gomez and the boy fled the scene, but Gomez later returned and was arrested on a murder warrant, and police said the unnamed boy had been found and arrested in the nearby town of Rio Vista.
Court records do not show that official charges were made.
The conflict came after two mass shootings in Texas focused attention on firearms.
