Charlie Johnson, a teenager who disappeared after taking a solo bike ride over the weekend, was tragically found dead, police confirmed today.

Missing – Body Found
Four days after his disappearance, the body of a young man, believed to be Charlie, was discovered at 1.24 p.m. Wednesday, Solihull police confirmed.
A stretch of the canal in Finwood, Warwickshire, has been cordoned off as police continue their investigations.
Officers discovered the body while searching the area after someone found a bicycle similar to Charlie’s nearby.
It is understood that his death is currently not being treated as suspicious and his devastated family has been told.
Police previously said the teenager was classified as ‘vulnerable’ and, prior to his disappearance, it was known that he was traveling to London and Oxford by train.

In a series of posts on Twitter on Wednesday, Solihull police said: ‘We are saddened to say that while we were searching for missing teenager Charlie Johnson, we found the body of a young man.
‘Formal identification has yet to be done, but we believe he is the 17-year-old from Solihull.
‘We have told his family that he is devastated. Charlie disappeared on July 24 and we’ve been looking for him ever since.
There is nothing at this time to suggest that his death is suspicious.
The body of the young man was found by agents at 1:24 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 28). They were searching the area after someone found a bike like Charlie’s nearby.
