George Ritter, Four members of the same family died after a father crashed his car into a utility pole while returning from a birthday party in New Jersey on Saturday night.

George Ritter his daughters, ages five and nine, Alivia and Elsie, and his niece Kenzie Mammoccio, eight, died after Ritter crashed in Westville, Gloucester County.

Ritter and the children were returning from a child’s birthday party at the Westville Power Boat Association.

They were only minutes from home when the accident happened around 9 p.m.

Kenzie’s father, Brian Mammoccio, told ABC6: ‘Cherish every moment you have with your kids because you never know when that moment might go away. I’m only eight years old with mine.

‘I wish I could have her here by my side, give her one last hug because I could never say goodbye to her.

“She was loving, honest, and full of life and spark.”

The accident occurred in the 1000 block of Gateway Boulevard in Westville.

Mourners have paid their respects to the victims by leaving teddy bears and flowers at the crash site.

The reasons for the accident have not yet been made public.

“Investigators are working to determine the exact cause of the accident,” said Westville Police Chief William Whinna.

The Westville Power Boat Association is organizing a fundraiser to cover the cost of funerals.

The description on the GoFundMe page read: “They have touched the lives of many and it is our turn to show our appreciation for George and the girls for the last time.”

More than 300 people have donated about $ 20,000 of the $ 50,000 goal.
