Forensic evidence obtained from the first crime victim led scientists to identify Goodey as a possible suspect.

Police officers carried out further investigations, including reviewing CCTV footage and phone data, which linked Goodey to the three incidents.

Goodey denied any involvement when he was arrested and interviewed about the attacks, but the overwhelming evidence led to charges against him.

Goodey was convicted of three counts of rape, two counts of robbery, and one count of blackmail. He was sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court on Friday, September 17.

Detective Superintendent Seb Adjei-Addoh of the local Enfield police team said: “Aaron Goodey is a dangerous s**ex offender and poses a significant risk to men across London.

He “obtained access to the victims’ houses before subjecting them to major se**xual assaults, while he used and threatened more violence to extort money from them.

“This ruling sends a clear message that se**xual violence towards anyone will not be tolerated in London and I recognize the courage shown by the victims in this case, who provided crucial evidence to ensure that Goodey cannot commit crimes again.

“I urge anyone who has been the victim of such a crime to contact the police immediately at 101. Any report will be treated with sensitivity and their identity will be kept confidential. Always call 999 in an emergency. ”
